Bristol and Newington both reported a coronavirus-associated death among its residents over the weekend, according to state health officials. There were 19 virus deaths reported statewide since Friday for an overall total of 7,923.
New Britain has had 201 virus-associated deaths among residents, while Bristol has had 132, Newington 100, Southington 93, Plainville 36, Berlin 29 and Plymouth 9 since reporting began.
There were 82,365 coronavirus tests reported Monday with 2,699 coming back as positive cases, a positivity rate of 3.28%. There was a decrease of 15 residents hospitalized due to covid-19 for a total of 484. There are 109 residents in Hartford County hospitals, a drop of nine since Friday.
As of Monday, the state has administered 1,329,149 first doses of the covid vaccines, including 57,061 of the Johnson & Johnson single-dose shot. There have been 809,663 state residents now fully vaccinated. The state has administered 2,081,751 vaccine doses in all.
For people 16 and over, 45% have received at least one dose of the vaccines. For those over the age of 45, 67% have received a vaccine shot; for those over the age of 55, 75% have received a vaccine shot; and for those over the age of 65, 82% have received a vaccine dose.
New Britain had 46 new coronavirus cases reported Monday and has had an overall total of 8,816.
Bristol added 58 new coronavirus cases over the weekend and has had an overall total of 5,384.
Southington had 29 new virus cases since Friday and has had 3,352 cases overall.
Newington had an additional 13 cases reported over the weekend and has an overall total of 2,564.
Berlin added 17 new virus cases over the past three days and has an overall total of 1,462.
Plainville had six new virus cases reported since Friday and has an overall total of 1,440.
Plymouth added 10 new coronavirus cases over the weekend and has an overall total of 856.
