This is Leyna, an 8-year-old German Shepherd at our Waterford Pet Care and Adoption Center.

Leyna can live in a single family home and she is looking for a family with kids over 10 years of age who are gentle and respectful with dogs. She may like to live with a cat, but Leyna does need to be the only canine so she can enjoy her peoples’ full attention. Leyna has lots of energy, and to be at her best, she needs a home where she can get lots of daily exercise and play. This is a great dog with lots of potential for the family who has owned dogs before.

Remember, the Connecticut Humane Society has no time limits for adoption. Inquiries for adoption should be made at the Connecticut Humane Society located at 701 Russell Road in Newington or call toll free: 1-800-452-0114.

The Connecticut Humane Society is a private organization with adoption centers in Newington, Waterford and Westport. The Connecticut Humane Society is not affiliated with any other animal welfare organizations on the national, regional or local level.
