NEWINGTON - Damato Chiropractic Center is expanding to welcome a new doctor and a second facility.
The comprehensive health and wellness practice at 123 Lowrey Place, Newington, is led by company founder Dr. Eric Damato. A Newington native, Dr. Damato was raised in a holistic-minded, athletic family that valued health and wellness. His dynamic team of massage therapists, exercise therapists, chiropractors, nutritionists, personal injury and patient care specialists recently welcomed Dr. Bill Stankosky.
Stankosky graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in 2001 and spent a large part of his career practicing in Florida. He and his wife recently moved back to their home state of Connecticut with their seven-year-old son.
“I looked around at different opportunities in the area, met Doctor Damato and we really hit it off,” Stankosky said.
Both doctors share a health philosophy centered on patient care.
The newcomer is enthusiastic about the company’s multi-faceted approach to healing and maintenance, which he said aligns with his own.
“I like the wide variety of services available here, in a caring and positive environment,” he explained.
Throughout his years of practice, Stankosky has worked with patients of all ages, from newborns to people in their nineties.
“My focus is really on restoring alignment to the spine, to get people out of pain and restore function to the nerve system,” he said.
Damato Chiropractic Center serves infants, children and adults. Regular clients include athletes, anyone recovering from injury or surgery, pregnant women, and people seeking a natural remedy for common problems such as chronic pain, sciatica, headaches and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, among many other ailments.
Stankosky will join the other doctors in serving patients at the company’s new location, which opens its doors next week at 1420 Main St., Suite 114 in Glastonbury. An official grand opening celebration is being planned for March 31, according to marketing manager Tara Gumprecht.
“Expanding has always been my vision,” Damato said. “With five doctors of chiropractic and over 500 patient visits a week, I felt the time was right to expand our reach to make a larger impact on the health of our community.”
Visitors can expect to meet members of the Hartford Wolfpack during the upcoming event. Damato is the team’s official chiropractor.
