NEWINGTON - The Parks and Recreation Team is actively recruiting a community-minded business, club, church or organization to sponsor a brand new idea for the Life. Be in it. Extravaganza to be held Saturday, July 21 at Mill Pond Park.

“Can you imagine your entire family climbing up a two story high inflatable and sliding down a slippery slide into a pool of cooling water on a hot summer day?” said Bill DeMaio, superintendent of the Parks and Recreation Department.

That is exactly what the Parks and Rec Team wants to offer this year. They are looking to develop a private/public partnership with a group or company that is looking for lots of advertising and attention.

If a business wishes to sponsor the Tiki Falls Water Slide, the Department will have it up on Thursday night before the Life. Be in it. Extravaganza from 5 to 8 p.m. in the park. During this time there will be a live concert featuring What It Is, a Corn Hole Tournament and a fun-filled carnival.

Youths and adults would be able to use the slide for free. But that is not all. It would then be set up on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for thousands of people to use. The sponsor would receive a free Life. Be in it. Extravaganza Corporate Row booth valued at $155 and receive 500 $1 tickets to give to the public when they visited their booth.

Just imagine the public traffic visits that this will drive to your booth on that busy day. That is not all. If a sponsor comes to us now, the department will initiate a full blown advertising campaign for them using direct mailings, brochures, PA announcements, Facebook, email blasts, Google blasts and more.

The sponsor will receive thousands of dollars’ worth of advertising and create great community spirit. The sponsorship investment cost is only $1,000 in return for extraordinary advertising both locally and statewide. This is a win win situation for everyone.

Any interested company, group or organization should contact the Newington Parks and Recreation Department ASAP. This offer is on a first come, first served basis. It promises to bring lots of attention and business to your organization.
