New Britain Bees lose fifth straight game

NEW BRITAIN - The New Britain Bees lost their fifth straight game on Sunday afternoon, falling to the visiting York Revolution 10-1 as the Freedom Division’s first place team completed a three-game sweep.

York took the lead in the top of the fourth, scoring on RBI doubles from Angelys Nina and Telvin Nash, followed by an RBI single by Isaias Tejeda. The rally came after New Britain pitcher had been perfect through the first three innings.

Henry Castillo made it 6-1 in favor of the Revolution in the top of the sixth with a three-run homer, after the Bees had scored an unearned run in the bottom of the fourth.

A Carlos Franco two-run double in the seventh capped a four-run rally for York.
