YORK, Pa. - Deibinson Romero hit his first home run in a New Britain Bees uniform for a game-tying solo shot off York Revolution starter Jay Gause in the top of the seventh inning of a scheduled seven-inning game to tie the contest, then Darren Ford’s one-out solo homer in the top of the 11th inning gave the Bees a 3-2 lead and New Britain went on to win by that score in the first game of a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon.

Kevin Chapman struck out the side in the bottom half of the 11th for his second save of the season to preserve the victory.

Ford went 2-for-5 with a double in addition to the game-winning home run, scoring twice.

Manny Delcarmen got the win after coming on in relief in the 10th inning. After an error and a single put two on with nobody out in that frame, he got a double play ball and struck out the final batter with the potential winning run at third base.
