NEW BRITAIN - The New Britain Bees have announced their 2018 Promotional Schedule. The special events will begin with the home opener on Friday, May 4, and will continue throughout the season.
The promotional schedule is highlighted by 13 fireworks shows, exclusive giveaways, and theme nights.
Opening Day / Star Wars Night includes Mayor Erin Stewart’s birthday celebration, a Mayor Erin Stewart bobblehead giveaway to the first 1,000 fans, magnet schedule giveaway by ACES for the first 1,000 fans and a Kevin Adorno Foundation Bike giveaway.
There will also be a special Battle of the Sexes event that will have the Bees square off against the Stratford Brakettes in a fast-pitch softball game, as well as FREE-dom Day, which offers free admission for everyone.
June 23 will be New Britain Baseball Throwback Night. Christmas in July will be hosted on July 14, which will include fireworks and a free tape measure to the first 175 fans.
On July 21, the Bess will face off against the Road Warriors for Latin Heritage Night, where first 1,000 fans will receive a free team photo.
Polish Heritage Night will be held on Aug. 11 during a game against the Lancaster Barnstormers. There will be fireworks and the first 1,000 fans will receive a Martin Rosol giveaway.
Sept. 1 is Cancer Awareness Night and the first 1,000 fans will receive a YMCA giveaway. The Bees will wrap up their special events on Sept. 12 with Fan Appreciation Day.
The schedule also includes a special promotion for each day of the week.
On Dollar Mondays, the Bees will offer $1 Field Box Tickets and $1 Martin Rosol Hot Dogs to all guests. Tuesdays will be Two-fer Tuesday, where fans will have the opportunity to buy one ticket, and get one free when purchasing it online, over the phone, or at the Bees Ticket Office.
On Kids Meal Deal Wednesday, kids ages 12 and under can enjoy a hot dog, chips, and soda or water for just $2.
Every Miller Lite Thirsty Thursday will feature exclusive domestic beer specials, and wrapping up the week will be $5 Fat Tire drafts on Fat Tire Fridays.
Saturdays will include fireworks and Sundays will be YMCA Family Fun Days at the stadium. Prior to the game, fans will be invited onto the field for an autograph session with the Bees, and after the game, kids can take the field and run the bases.
Fans can purchase season tickets or a mini-plan online. Single game tickets will go on sale Saturday, March 24 at 10 a.m. at the Bees Ticket Office at New Britain Stadium, as well as online at www.nbbees.com .
