BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Following a rough outing in his last start, Kyle Simon was looking to bounce back.

He did that in a big way pitching a complete game against the Somerset Patriots leading to a 5-1 victory for the New Britain Bees.

Simon allowed one unearned run in the game and did not walk a batter. He struck out three.

Michael Crouse did his part as well offensively hitting a pair of home runs and driving in three of the Bees five runs. Crouse finished the night 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored.

Michael Baca and Craig Maddox also had multi-hit performances for New Britain.

Baca was 2-for-4 and Maddox was 2-for-5.

Jake McGuiggan and Connor Bierfeldt had the other RBI in the game for the Bees.

At the top of the order, James Skelton struggled. He struck out four times in his five at bats.

The Bees and Somerset will meet again tomorrow on the road. First pitch is set for 6:30 p.m.
