Married 48 years to husband Hy, with two grown children who attended Newington schools and six grandchildren.
Education: I received my Doctorate in Public Health from Columbia University, I have a Masters in Higher Education from Central Connecticut State University and a BA in Anthropology from CCSU where I graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Profession: Assistant Dean School of Business at Central Connecticut State University
Public service: Ten years on the Newington Board of Education, served on Churchill Bridge Condominium Board as Past President, Past Vice President, Past Treasurer, Past Secretary and Currently Chair of Churchill Bridge Condominium Recreation Board, For the BOE, I am Chair of Student Policy Committee and Secretary, current liaison to the Capital Regional Education Council (CREC).
If elected, I will continue my focus on student success, creativity, and technological innovation by exploring learning opportunities for our students both in and out of school. With 30 years of experience in Higher Education at Central Connecticut State University, I have developed internships and employment opportunities for hundreds of students and most recently a dual enrollment program for Newington students to take classes at CCSU at no cost to the student or our District.
