Bristol Blues beat Pittsfield Suns, continue winning ways

PITTSFIELD - Bristol Blues starting pitcher Jason Hebner delivered five shutout innings and the offense rallied off four runs in the fifth inning as the Blues continued their winning ways Tuesday with a 4-2 win on the road against the Pittsfield Suns.

Hebner allowed two hits and walked a pair while striking out seven.

Richard Brereton, Conor Nolan, Miguel De Los Santos and Ethan Hunt all had RBI in the inning for Bristol.

Mark Silvestri gave up a pair of earned runs in 1 1/3 innings of relief. Casey Elbin pitched 1 2/3 innings scoreless innings of relief. Neal McDermott also had a relief appearance and threw a scoreless inning.

Bristol had seven hits in total. No player had multiple hits but the fifth inning and pitching performance was enough for the Blues to move to 5-1.

Bristol will travel to take on the Worcester Bravehearts (4-2) tonight at 7 p.m.
