Bristol Blues blown out by Wachusett Dirt Dawgs

BRISTOL - The Bristol Blues could not manufacture any runs against the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs pitching staff on Monday, losing in a 16-2 blowout.

Dirt Dawgs starter Jonathan Gegetskas, allowed two earned runs in six strong innings. He walked two Blues batter in the contest and allowed just three hits. Gegetskas did not strike out a batter but received the win.

Blues starter Jake Frasca was hit hard by the Dirt Dawgs’ lineup. He allowed five earned runs in the game on seven hits and one walk. Frasca struck out five batters and received the loss.

For the Blues, Max Golone had a strong offensive performance. He finished the game 2-for-4 with a run scored and one RBI.

The Dirt Dawgs had an abundance of strong offensive performances, led by leadoff hitter Jack Gethings. He was 2-for-5 in the game with a pair of runs driven in.

Cleanup hitter Zack Tower was 3-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBI.
